I am delighted to welcome you to the second edition of the Quit Centre Quarterly newsletter.
Following the Quit Centre launch in March, our clinical team has been consulting with general practitioners and community pharmacists across Australia about their experiences in providing smoking and vaping cessation care, and to identify any knowledge gaps and emerging practice issues concerning them. We thank everyone who participated for their valuable insights.
We’ll soon be sharing our findings and launching some new resources to support you in providing best practice cessation care to your patients.
I am also excited to announce that the Quit Centre team will have a presence at key national conferences during 2022. If you’re attending PSA22 in late July, please come and say hi to us at stand No.9 and join us as we present our findings from the consultation.
As always, your involvement is crucial, and we welcome your feedback at any stage. We invite you to fill out our one-question survey on your preferred method of professional development.
We look forward to updating you on further activities of Quit Centre as our program evolves and grows.
Emma Dean, Health System Reform Manager, Quit
